Your Happiness, Health & Wellbeing with Hypnotherapy

"I feel as if each time we meet great things happen, and I couldn't be more grateful to you. THANK YOU!"

Susan, age 41

What is hypnosis and hypnotherapy?

"It may be surprising to many to learn that we experience trance states often during the course of our lives. Even passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance state. The experience of hypnosis is similar: neither asleep nor awake and a little like daydreaming, with a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation behind it all. Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness which you can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes (hypnotherapy), beneficial corrections may be given directly to your

unconscious mind."

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of relaxed concentration, a bit like when you've drifted off into a daydream or when reading a book - your mind may have wandered off but you're not asleep.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to treat a variety of medical, psychological and emotional issues. It is excellent in helping with the stress and anxieties of everyday life and can help with unwanted habits, fears and phobias - replacing them with positive and creative alternatives.

In a hypnotherapy session I use relaxation techniques to settle clients into a calm and positive frame of mind. Depending on your presenting conditions, I then use a combination of guided imagery, metaphor, storytelling and direct suggestion to support you in making beneficial changes in your life.

Additionally, I often teach clients self-hypnosis so that you can use it at home to relax, or to work on your own positive solutions. I personally use self-hypnosis every morning to set me up for the day!
